もう3,4年の付き合いになりますが、彼との創作は重ねるごとに深く、研ぎ澄まされていくようです。
座長・菊地の脚本世界を読み解き、

「cicada」は出会いの物語
生まれつき片目を持たなかった少女、玲。
交通事故により片目を失った青年、純。
玲は彼を「変種」と呼び、心を寄せていきます。
純もまた、彼女の存在によって蔑まされた過去から未来を見つめ始めます。
幼い頃から玲を知り、側にいた人形師・清武。
大学で純と出会い、彼を知り、優しく強く在ろうとする恵子。
期せずして彼らの人生と交差するオカルトサークルのマサオ。
そして、玲の心に住まう過去の少年、金田。
様々な人生が交錯する「cicada」ですが、作り手である僕らもまた、同じように自らの人生に逡巡し、立ち向かい、ふらつきながらも歩みを進めて、いま、共にあります。
お客様も、同じことだと思います。どんな去年でしたか。どんな年末でしたか。
どんな今年になるでしょうか。どんなふうに進んで、どんな人と出会っていくのでしょうか。
来る本番1/22(金)~25(月)は、祝典です。劇場とは、そういう場所だと思います。
キャストたちも、この特殊なシステムのなか自らのチケットを伸ばし、そして公演に携わる意味を超え、演劇とは何か、自らの人生とは何かを真摯に受け止め、日々稽古に臨んでいます。
当日は、座長・副座長だけでも、キャストだけでもありません。スタッフもまた一丸となって、あるいはお客様同士の繋がりもお力に、すべての方を心よりお出迎えいたします。
